SY 2007-08 – SCIENCE IN OUR WORLD

FALL – Wonderful World of Water: Splash into Science
Make a splash as you dive into the science of water! Fly through the clouds, twirl into a vortex, and learn how to race molecules. Discover how to make a thunderstorm and build your own rainstick!

WINTER – Forensic Science:  Whodunit?
Investigate how science can help you solve mysteries! Gather evidence from ancient cultures. Find out who wrote with the teacher’s pen and solve the mystery of the baker’s cookies!

SPRING – Weather and Natural Disasters:  Weather Watchers
Make waves as you explore our changing Earth. Twirl through a tornado, create your own lightning bolts, build a volcano, and feel the Earth shake through fun hands-on activities.

SY 2008-09 – LIVING SCIENCE

FALL – Biology: Science Safari
Explore life on earth! Have you even wondered why sharks have such sharp teeth or how your brain makes your body move? What makes a jumping bean jump? Find answers to these questions and more through fun and exciting experiments.

WINTER – Anatomy: Bodily Functions
Gas, hiccups and bad breath! Ewww! Take a gross trip through the human body. Let us show you the icky and smelly functions of your body through fun experiments and activities that have everything to do with you!

SPRING – Chemistry: Creative Chemistry
Bouncy balls, blue goo, and slime too! Join us on an exploration of chemistry as we learn how to make things glow in the dark, take the color out of Kool-Aid, and magically turn yellow paper red.

SY 2009-2010 - HOW THINGS WORK

FALL - Physics of Sound and Flight: Explorations in Air
Whistle while you work to explore the air up there. Make your own musical instruments including a groovy guitar and a silly squawker. Design your own airplanes and jets and figure out which flies best.

WINTER - Physics of Color and Light: The Magic of Science
Your eyes will play tricks on you during this magical journey! Find out what happens as you look through the hall of mirrors & spin the color wheel. Make your finger float, put a hole in the middle of your hand, & make a pencil disappear!

SPRING - Forces and Motion: Toys and Tools
Join us as we explore the science of tools & toys. Discover how tools help us & how toys actually work. Along the way, you’ll make your own rocket racer, twirling balloon helicopter, pop rocket, bouncy yoyo, & more!
