TeleVisits at Open Health
Get connected with your provider without leaving home.
To better serve our community, we are now offering televisits for new and current patients during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond.
Televisits are a more convenient appointment option to meet with your provider from the comfort of your home. They are easy to schedule, confidential and allow you to discuss symptoms, medical and dental issues, and more with your health care provider over a phone or computer with an internet connection.
We are currently scheduling same-day televisits for all services except podiatry or if your appointment requires an in-person evaluation or treatment.
Please call us at (225) 655-6422 to speak to one of our triage nurses to determine if your appointment can occur as a Televisit.
Preparing for your Televisit appointment:
Please wear comfortable clothing during your televisit so you can show us any areas of concern.
You will be contacted by one of our staff before your visit to review your insurance, collect co-payments, complete an enrollment packet if necessary and give instructions on using our televisit system.
Our patient portal allows for easier communication with your provider after your televisit. Setting up a portal account is easy and we are here to help. Please call us at (225) 655-6422. If you are an existing patient with a portal account, please access it here.
Equipment needed for Televisit:
Desktop computer, tablet, or smartphone with a webcam. If you do not have access to these items, a cell phone can be used to speak to your provider.
Speakers or headphones for audio when using a computer, tablet or smartphone.
